Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) has expanded its branch network to 94 following the opening of its Isiolo branch, as the lender steps up its physical presence in underserved markets ahead of a target of 100 outlets by the end of 2026.
The expansion comes as banks seek to deepen their reach beyond major urban centers and tap into business opportunities in emerging regional economies, where traders, small businesses and other enterprises require access to financial services.
Isiolo becomes DTB’s latest market, with the lender citing the county’s strategic position along the Lamu Port-South Sudan-Ethiopia Transport (LAPSSET) corridor and its potential in trade, tourism and other economic activities.
